Ceretai - Stockholm, Sweden

In 2018, Ceretai was founded with the goal of creating an automated tool that could detect norms and stereotypes in popular culture. The purpose was to give consumers the ability to make choices based on their values, and to raise awareness of how people who don't fit conventional ideas of normalcy – such as women, people of color, and those of different sexual orientations – are portrayed in the media they consume. Since then, Ceretai has developed the first version of their software and tested it with film and news media producers. In the spring of 2019, they participated in the Next Media Accelerator in Hamburg and collaborated with Germany's largest news show, Tagesschau, and the Nordic video streaming service, Plejmo. They've been featured in Forbes and attended the Cannes Film
