Profundus Imaging - Sweden

The development of a new fundus camera by Profundus Imaging has provided researchers and clinicians with a powerful tool to detect subclinical changes in retinal diseases. This camera utilizes Adaptive Optics technology, which is usually found in terrestrial space telescopes. This technology was developed to meet the need for improved resolution in retinal imaging and provides a resolution 7-10 times higher than conventional instruments, while covering a much larger imaging area than its competitors.
